A little about Jack
Jack Tafoya was born in Ft. Collins, Colorado January 9, 1932, the year of the emergence of the BIG BAND ERA.
JACK THE JAZZ GUY
Due to the first 30 years of his life as a jazz musician, band leader, big band vocalist and jazz promoter, Jack was commonly referred to as THE JAZZ GUY. In the 1970s he became a noted jazz entrepreneur in New York City where he had his own prime time 'live' TV and Radio shows and produced nearly 500 major concerts featuring the giants of jazz. Mike Wallace of 60 MINUTES said "Jack Tafoya almost single-handedly sponsored a revival of jazz in New York".

JACK THE NUMBERS GUY
Jack Tafoya firmly believes that jazz people are finely tuned to the esoteric, metaphysical views portrayed in his two published books. How Numbers Control Your Life and Give Your Life Purpose - numbers.jacktafoya.com and How The English Language Controls The World - words.jacktafoya.com. After an out-of-body experience at his father's funeral in 1979 Jack began his dedicated search - directed by his 'guides' - to uncover hidden number codes, and since has been referred to as THE NUMBERS GUY.
JACK TAFOYA'S ANCESTRY
His mother’s roots derive from Irish ancestry – Maxwell. His fathers’ name was a Catalonian name - Tafoya - changed from Tafolla ( LL pronounced as Y in Spanish), however, derived earlier from his Spanish ancestral name DeFalla (re; Spain’s composer Manuel DeFalla) and before that, from the French DeFoyer. As such, Jack has always pondered his ancestry, wondering sincerely “were my ancestors possibly Gypsey Jews who migrated down through France – DeFoyer, then to Spain - DeFalla, and finally brought to America by the Mormons as Tafolla, changed to Tafoya? Why the name changes, and why by the Mormons? Jack says he now knows the answers to these questions and he claims that key numbers tie-in to his name, but more than basic numerology. He claims that "they fit a letter-number pattern for eventual TRACKING", especially since he is the 7th born into a family of 12 children, and his genetic code number is "7”, but more-so due to his 30 year dedicated search to break the secret Number Codes hidden for centuries by elitists who planned to form a One World Government. This information is available in his books HOW NUMBERS CONTROL YOUR LIFE and HOW THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONTROLS THE WORLD.

JEWS IN AMERICA
Jack researched “The History of the Jews in America,” and how they were treated in America in sending them back to the very European countries they were kicked out of when it became apparent to the European leaders that the Jews had cornered markets due to their expertise except for a few individuals who were allowed to stay in those countries as advisers. The Hebrew bible needed translating in the first American colonies, so some Rabbis were allowed to stay in America in forming the first 13 colonies, hence the American Jewish diaspora. Jack still ponders the connection between his family name and the Mormons, especially the Irish side - the Maxwells, - since many of them are still Mormons. He is also concerned and aware of the Mormon’s specific dedication to the history of family genetic roots as explained in his books.

BILLY THE KID
Jack says; "the first connection to the name Tafoya in the U.S. originates from Geronimo Tafoya (not the waring one) as presented in the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico that lists the “Seven Families In Pueblo Pottery" of which Geronimo is the ‘patriarch’ so to speak." Jack’s mother’s maiden name Maxwell has even more mystery in America’s western folklore. Jack says "The name derives from my great grandfather Pete Maxwell who owned and operated one of the largest ranches in America at the time... that Billy the Kid grew up on."
Jack recalls listening to the many Billy the Kid stories his cowboy/sheepherder grandfather William (Willy) Maxwell told him as a child after returning from the range; but were they actually true? It turns out they were true, because it came from the horses mouth - father to son, to grandson - Pete to grandpa Willy to me, “even though most of the movies I saw growing up about Billy The Kid were bogus” he says.
It is established in Jack’s memory – from what his grandfather told him as a child – that his great grandfather Pete Maxwell had an illegitimate son with a woman named Bonney, and they named the boy after Jacks’ grandfather William and the girl’s name Bonney – hence, William Bonney better known as Billy The Kid. Jack says "the Disneyland wax museums in California and Florida show the scene where my great grandfather Pete Maxwell is in bed with a gun at his head and Billy is entering his ranch-home at night walking through the door barefooted with his guns draped over his arms, then being gunned down by (so-called) good friend Sheriff Pat Garrett and his deputies. This is exactly how Jack remembers his grandfather telling him it happened.
Pete Maxwell and his illegitimate son Billy are buried together off old Route 66 near Ft. Sumner/Roswell, New Mexico, and every so often Jack stops by and talks to them …spiritually of course. Who knows for sure? Maybe Jack’s deceased father has joined his grandfather in guiding him toward his search-path all these years. Jack says his roots go very deep and are a huge part of his conscience and his consciousness. If and when you happen to go by the Billy The Kid grave, Jack asks that you stop and say hello for him, and ask them to help in guiding you, and Jack promises,"you will not regret it".
